Ask the team at Gibbs Orthodontic Associates about using Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted! Instead of unattractive metal braces, Invisalign uses customized clear aligners to give you the straight smile you deserve! No one can even tell you're wearing them. Request an appointment with Dr. Gibbs or Dr. Papasikos at our office on Manhattan's Upper East Side to determine if Invisalign is right for you.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with highly effective and precise 3-D computer imaging technology that allows you to see how your treatment will progress and how your smile will look when your treatment is complete.

How does Invisalign work?

You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist has prescribed. You'll visit Dr. Gibbs or Dr. Papasikos about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. On average, your total treatment should last anywhere between nine and 15 months and you'll wear an average number of 18 to 30 aligners, but both will vary from case to case.

Why would I want Invisalign?

Since your Invisalign aligners are removable, eating, brushing and flossing are much less of a hassle! Aligners are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
